We’ve talked a lot about the essential summer cloth of seersucker recently, writing about the history of this iconic fabric in our feature ‘Demystifying Iconic Cloths’. You can read the full article here.
Our new seersucker Tailored Casual suits are perfect for summer, and have just landed in-store and online. Our design team hand picked two beautiful Italian 100% cotton seersucker cloths for Spring/Summer 2017, with Tom Stubbs featuring the collection in an article for Financial Times How to Spend it on 21st April where he spoke about dry handle fabrics.
“A stunning new Italian dry seersucker was used at Timothy Everest for a double-breasted blazer in a navy Prince of Wales-style check. It’s enzyme treated to improve softness, which also sanforises – shrinks and ‘fixes’ – the cloth before it’s cut and sewn. It is a connoisseur’s fabric, with a markedly distinct ‘touch’ from other seersuckers. A fuller jacket and waistcoat in khaki have a vintage workwear look, but are light and sporty. There are matching trousers and shorts”.
Our new seersucker tailoring is relaxed and unstructured, making it a great choice for summer. Wear as a complete ensemble for a casual suit look, or break apart into separates. Shop the full seersucker collection here, or view looks below and follow the links.
