“I didn’t make any effort...honest”

Last Saturday, I attended The Nocturne Cycling festival in Smithfield Market, Farringdon. As I walked through the fenced off streets, cyclists were commuting and getting themselves ready for the next race. I passed Smiths, where Rapha had applied vinyl’s to a car and parked it half way through the window with a bike rack and two Rapha bikes on top.

It was amazing to see the variety of cyclists and fashions flooding through the streets. And as I made my way to the pedestrian cross over, I saw the Rapha racing team getting ready to join the races. On my way to the hospitality tent, I was asked to wait and cross when the cyclists had passed. The races looked great fun and everyone was dressed in suits and cycling gear. It was a great mixture of ages and culture and many brought their children to pass on the passion. Many were sporting the new ‘Look mum no hands’ caps and supporting the new cycling café.

Well-dressed cyclists filled the streets as they drank their coffees, talked about the previous race and waited for the next! The hospitality tent invited famous cyclists, the Rapha team, and many friends. The event was brilliant and attracted a huge crowd. The weather was temperamental but I enjoyed chats with friends and a free bar and food! Later on in the night, Paul Smith made an appearance and the last race was brilliant. Here’s a few photograph’s from the night! Enjoy!
