Rapha and Timothy Everest Ready-to-Wear Jacket

Timothy Everest has once again teamed up with pioneering cycling brand Rapha to produce an off-the-peg version of our Bespoke Cycling Suit. The Tailored Jacket is where Savile Row tailoring meets performance city riding apparel.

Woven in Britain, the 100% wool fabric features an exclusive check designed by Timothy personally, with just a dash of Rapha pink. Created using nanotechnology, the fabric is both water and stain resistant. It also keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. A two-button jacket when worn with the collar down, when turned up two hidden buttons come into play to provide secure protection from the elements.

The jacket is designed for comfort and practicality and includes a number of innovations:

* Front hems can be folded up and buttoned to the front pockets to hold them away from your legs when riding.
* The jacket has an ‘action back’; pleats in the rear of the shoulders, similar to those found in shooting jackets allowing for extra reach on the bike.
* An ergonomic button-system where the jacket can be fastened at the collar and chest by buttons under the lapels to keep out the wind and rain.
* A storm-collar fastens at the neck to keep out the elements.
* The left arm features a zipped key pocket with lanyard.

The sleeves are finished with working cuff buttons, as you would expect in a finely tailored suit jacket, and the underside of the collar has a pink Melton wool trim. Inside, the jacket has two in-breast pockets and an additional zipped valuables pocket.

The lining of the jacket is beautifully finished, with elegant pink stitching, pink routing loops for an iPod cable and a pink hanging loop.

The jacket is available to buy from Rapha (http://www.rapha.cc/tailored-jacket).

Rapha and Timothy Everest Ready-to-Wear Jacket Event

Rapha and Timothy Everest held an event at the Rapha Cycling Club to celebrate the launch of our new tailored jacket. We set up a modern bespoke tailors workshop for the evening, and Timothy talked to the crowd about the design and development of the jacket. For more info on the Cycle Club which is open until late July, go to http://www.rapha.cc/cycle-club.

Official Suit for The England Football Team

World Cup 2010 Uniforms

Timothy has once again collaborated with Marks & Spencer to design the suits worn by the England World Cup team for all their off-field appearances.

Having worked with M&S for the FA Cup uniforms in 2007, the designers came together again to source the finest British fabrics and finishes as well as tailor-making each suit to perfectly fit every player. The result is a classic suit which will complement a variety of shapes and sizes and is a wardrobe essential worthy of every football fanatic.

The two-button single breasted jacket is sculpted to a modern British block with sleeve head roll shoulders for a classic fitting, slim silhouette. Additional styling details include narrower lapels, slanted pockets, four button cuffs and a decadent red puppy tooth check lining. Trousers are flat fronted and half lined providing added comfort, superior fit and an elegant modern shape. The four-button waistcoat gives added style kudos and maintains the refined look.

The replica suit is available now from Marks & Spencer stores nationwide.
