Paraboot at Timothy Everest

We are very pleased to showcase our footwear range for Autumn Winter 2019 from our partners at Paraboot.

The shoe company formed in the French Alps in 1907, the moniker coming later; a portmanteau of “Para”, The Brazilian port that shipped the gum rubber for the soles to the factory, and “Boot” a new-fangled word the Americans used for sturdy rubber footwear.

Showcasing the skills of local leather artisans and carving out a strong reputation for hardwearing boots for outdoor pursuits, Paraboot utilised the Goodyear and more rugged “Norwegian” welt. Alongside this, they pioneered an ingenious waterproofing system using local walnut oil and a process modified from a waffle press.

In 1945, the company debuted the Michael, based on a Tyrolian walking shoe. This iconic style has remained unchanged ever since – a uniquely distinctive shoe; both timeless and adaptable. This season we have employed the model front and centre in our lookbook, alongside its cousin, the Avignon.

For more information on other models such as the Tournier in dark brown grain leather and Dax loafer in chocolate suede, please find our collection here, or in-store at our Redchurch Street location.
