Our second season collaborating with Sanders footwear is available to buy in-store and online now. We have selected some key styles from their iconic Sanders Japan line, for which we are pleased to be the exclusive stockist in the UK.
Each piece in our collaboration is limited to just 12 pieces, and when it’s gone it’s gone. No re-runs, we’ll move onto the next season and give you something else to lust after.
Sanders footwear is all made by hand in their Nprthamptonshire factory; you can take a look inside the hub of this icoinic British brand through the photos our in-house photographer, Jim Marsden, took when he visited the factory.
The Sanders brothers established their shoe business in Northamptonshire, England, in 1873 with the aim to supply outstanding quality footwear to discerning customers. The two brothers, William and Thomas Sanders, along with five skilled craftsmen selected the finest English hides and the very best local oak-bark tanned soles and began their tradition of designing and making beautiful footwear.
The heritage behind their Sanders Japan collection is rooted in the shoes the company make for the British Military, and have been doing so for many decades due to their unrivalled comfort and durability. Over the years Sanders have built an impressive archive of these shoes in their Northamptonshire factory; it is this archive which forms the basis of the Sanders Japan Military collection, utilising specially modified lasts based upon these style.
One of the key design features is the iconic ‘Military Arrow’ which we have used across a number of styles. This traditional marking dates back as early as 17th century, and is typically used in the UK to mark Government Property.
