November 17th sees the much anticipated return of the Netflix award-winning series The Crown, with a brand new cast and men’s wardrobe courtesy of our fine team here at Timothy Everest.
The ten episodes commence in 1964 and cover the next 13 years up to Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee, taking place at time of great social upheaval in British life. Our bespoke department lent their expertise to period accurate and fastidiously researched garments for such characters as Prince Philip (portrayed by Tobias Menzies), Lord Mountbatten (played by Charles Dance) and a barnstorming performance from Josh O’Connor as a young Prince Charles.
Alongside the formal wear and lounge suits, stand out pieces to watch out for include a goatskin suede safari jacket meticulously handmade for the character of Lord Snowdon (with a suitably louche portrayal by Ben Daniels) – a garment which has gone on to become a trademark for our tailoring team.
Tune in from Sunday 17th and please pop in-store or contact us here to order something equally as regal for your own wardrobe.
